Who cares! The MSM lives for this kind of stupidity but the rest of us don't. He was a singer who ruined his face and career - I am supposed to be concerned about this weirdo in death? I don't think so. Here is a man for our present day media and the histrionic morons who follow it.

I wonder about the people they love to show in their front page pictures - a young woman crying over a flower she is placing on a Micheal Jackson Hollywood Star.

Has she been thinking about Micheal every day for the past 15 years?

The cheap histrionic portrayal sums up what his death is all about. Pathetic little personalities who love their dramatic moment. This is the extrapolation of all the stupid reality shows. A very sad testimonial to our present media driven society.

Billy Mays, Micheal Jackson, Farrah Fawcett - if an alien came into Earth orbit and picked up our TV signals they would think a major leader of the planet had died.

How did we get here?  How can it be that our media has made people like Farrah Fawcett and Micheal Jackson the Lincoln's of our time?

All you haters need to get a life!  The man was a genuis!!!  Stop hatin' because the man made money!  You don't know what type of demons he was battling.  With a father like he had, who could blame him for all of the emotional problems that he had.  The sexual molestation charges were never proved.  How many times have people in the spotlight been targeted by goldiggers?  How many times have the media assasinated someone's character?  You laugh at how he was broke, but yet he left over 500 million dollars in his will.  Could not have been too broke!!!  And his kids (don't care if it was his sperm or her egg) will continue to make more money because so many people are buying his records.  Again!!! So stop[ hatin' and go to bed.  Peace.

ILuvAmerica08 -

All you haters need to get a life! Thank you for your suggestion and concern, but most posters already have a life ... very REAL ones.

The man was a genuis!!! He was a genius? You mean like Einstein and Edison? What were MJ's IQ and Mensa rankings?

Stop hatin' because the man made money! People neither hate nor are envious of MJ - many people might be critical. Why does that upset you so much? Those who have intolerance for differing opinions are the ones who hate.

You don't know what type of demons he was battling. Very true, none of us know, but you imply that you do. Were you his psychologist, psychiatrist AND sex therapist?

With a father like he had, who could blame him for all of the emotional problems that he had. I agree. Joe Jackson physically abused his son. However, that abuse doesn't exonerate MJ from his sexual abuse upon others.

The sexual molestation charges were never proved. What you meant was that he was never convicted of the sex crimes. It's important to understand that lack of conviction doesn't equal innocent. Ted Kennedy, OJ Simpson, and Bill Clinton are poster boys. Monetary payoffs by the wealthy to silence their accusers are well-known. The accused then walk away as "innocent." Some choose to believe the fantasy, while others choose to believe the underlying facts.

How many times have people in the spotlight been targeted by goldiggers? How many times have the media assasinated someone's character? Often. Your point??

You laugh at how he was broke, but yet he left over 500 million dollars in his will. Could not have been too broke!!! No one has laughed at MJ's earnings or debts. What many can't understand is how could he have been so foolish in squandering his money.

And his kids (don't care if it was his sperm or her egg) will continue to make more money because so many people are buying his records. I can only hope that future sales will actually go into a trust fund for the children.

Again!!! So stop[ hatin' and go to bed. Perhaps it is you who should re-read your post before accusing others of hatred. Hatred and criticism have different meanings, and it would behoove you to learn the difference before making more superfluous accusations.

Peace. You brutally accuse those whose opinions differ from yours and then wish peace? I doubt you know what peace means, but I hope that you'll one day be able to rid yourself of your intolerance and be willing to find equal footing with others.

Interesting comment "physically abused his son." This does not sound like discipline in which there is a difference versus physical abuse. I can understand a mistype if that is what this is. If not, would you supply a source for the physical abuse allegation?

I found Joe Jackson’s and his loud mouth sidekick Al Sharpton’s appearance on TV not only disgusting but despicable and deplorable as well. It is quite evident that this monster who preferred that his own children call him Joseph instead Dad or Father their entire childhood has zero regard for his son Michaels passing. Joe Jackson is cold, calculating, and haughty and puffed up with self pride and in my book he is one cold hearted piece of dog crap.

I too had a cold hearted man for a father and I too experienced a lot of what the Jackson children experienced with the excessive beatings and excessive force for simple infractions and or what he perceived to be in his own mental mind infractions of some rule or another. So therefore understanding first hand what it feels like to live under such oppression I always understood MJ’s quarks or oddities.

Nothing is worse then losing your self identity as a child no matter how hard one tries you can never regain it. It is belittled, whipped and beaten out of you. Your inner spirit becomes fragmented and shattered. There is no repairing of such damage. Some become murderers, others become molesters and then there are those that are what society does not acknowledge…and that is splitters.

Therefore as one grows older and becomes and is perceived as an adult in the public eye, I can say with a 100% certainty that this is not the case on the inside. Children that have been abused are the great pretenders meaning we pretend to be adults and a majority of us are what we refer to in this social circle of abused children as splitters, I for one am a splitter, MJ was a splitter which was quite easy to see from where I am standing today. It takes a splitter to know a splitter.

Meaning that the reason MJ was so talented was because of this protective coating and shield that he placed over his inner being early on in life. This was only one of his survival tools and he used it well and to his advantage and shot to fame.

Joe Jackson can toot his own f&^%ing horn until the day he dies but the facts are the facts HE DID NOT MAKE MICHAEL who he was!! MICHAEL created who he was out of the fragmentized pieces of child that were left inside from the abuse; he did so as a SURVIVAL TATIC from that icehole of a father! So the only credit that loud mouth, uneducated piece of trash should recieve is the credit that society gives to a child abuser.

Let me tell you one more thing I would just about bet my life on the fact that Michael never abused any child as was claimed…Why? Well the answer is quite simple Michael endured first hand suffering at the hands of that cowardless bully Joe Jackson, so therefore Michael as I explained was truly a child living life in a adult body, he did not have it in him to do such a thing.

We splitters are kind hearted souls, we are very talented in many aspects, we are for most part higher educated individuals who go beyond the normal desire to learn, we have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge just like a child. We are driven by wanting to do something that is unobtainable by others so we keep on perfecting our skills until we are masters at whatever it maybe, singing, dancing, painting, writing, or even running for freaking President of the United States, We have compassion that is sincere and runs deeply beyond what is considered normal as was the case with Michael, we are loners as well as lonely even in a crowded room, we can stand up in front of thousands of people and put on a show, give a lecture or perform like no tomorrow, but yet inside we are merely little children who are lost souls constantly searching for away to glue ourselves back together. So with that said Mrs. Jackson I send my deepest of condolences to you dear lady and to Michaels siblings. But to Mr. Joe Jackson in my book you are a dog… …always have been a self consuming dog and will die the dirty dog you are and remember there is always PRIDE prior to the fall! And while you’re at it why not pull the reins in on your loud mouth puppet Al Sharpton!

I can understand people getting emotional about his death. I too feel like it's very sad that he most likely died because of his addictions. I think too it's important to remember that a man who abused so many perscription drugs and cut up his face and skin so much was either: a. severely depressed and compulsive or b. truly mentally ill. In either case, we should feel some sense of compassion. Does that excuse his attacking children? NO. And maybe he was acquitted of 10+ molestation charges. In the end, He may have stayed out of jail, but it cost him every single penny, song, and piece of property he owned. To me, it seems that when he finally caught grasp of his final social and financial situation he dropped dead from it. There's only so many drugs you can take to phase out reality!

Now Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. What a bunch of pigs. But you know what, just like Michael, why should they change? We can't tell people how to live their lives, but our news anchors and stations should start practicing some real journalism and ignore these clowns. Tickets? 4th of July weekend? Staples Center? Jesus-do they think he is the founder of the country? Probably-which there again proves that he was an ill man with nothing but enablers around him. And as long as he was successful, no one was going to say no to him. This is martyrdom at it's best...or worst. Whatever. People mourn in outlandish ways. Now they have the entire attention of the media, a huge will, and loose ends to tie up and it's making things that much worse.

I feel badly that I wasted 3-1/2 minutes of my life watching that ridiculous video. I found nothing "amazing" about it. All it does is glorify a sick man with a questionable history.

"Child Prodigy" --- Like the prolific AND entertaining Mozart?

"In 1988, Michael bought Neverland Ranch; the amusement park he constructed served as a solace for many sick and needy children..." Jesus Juice and playing in bed ... yep, that's "solace."

Don Imus has a ranch for sick children, but he doesn't ply them with liquor or get in bed with them.

I especially loved the crotch-grabbing photo. Jackson's kids will be so proud of that one as a memory of dear old dad.

orbust - No one has ever said to stop loving someone when they do something wrong. Ask any parent who's had to discipline their child. I've always felt very sorry for Michael. As a child and young man he was stripped of a childhood by the very people who should have taken better care of him - his parents.. He was made to work long and hard by a pimping father whose only interest was lining his pockets with Michael's and his brothers' hard earned money. Even now that same man has said Micheal's funeral will be bigger than Princess Diana's. What kind of parent says such a thing? What kind of person? I strongly believe what his father did to him and his brothers was absolutely criminal. This absence of proper child rearing in turn caused Michael to make very poor decisions in his life where children are concerned. I don't believe a grown man should be allowed to sleep in the same bed with a young boy. Now you seem to know so much about Michael then you'll remember in the Bashir interview he (Michael) said he thought it was perfectly fine to share his bed with young boys. Where I come from that's just wrong. However, he was acquitted of not being guilty.

But what about his abundant drug habit that apparently had a great deal to do with his death. Remember his children? I'm sure they were aware of his habits and have seen him in an altered state many, many times. No one says to stop loving somebody, but please admit when there is a problem that way it can't be fixed. You can't fix what you don't acknowledge. (I think that's a Dr. Philism) Too bad Michael couldn't see his own shortcomings he might still be around to pay off his debts.

Hi, NJ Person! I've missed reading your posts. You hit the nail on the head with every comment. This entire event is a circus. What has become of the values of the people in our wonderful country when they idolize a freakish, drug addicted pedophile to the extent that they idolize MJ? Many people are abused by their fathers and never experience a "normal" childhood, but they don't become pedophiles or spend beyond their income or use drugs.

If MJ loved children so much, why didn't he spend a portion of his vast fianancial resources to create an organization like Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp rather than give them Jesus Juice while "entertaining" them in his bedroom. Instead, he selfishly spent money on himself in extravagant ways to impress others.

As for being a genius...the world still listens to the music of Mozart nearly 220 years after his death. Does anyone really think that we will be listening to MJ's music 220 years from now? His music will die with the generation that is going bonkers over his death.

I'll end my comments here because NJ Person has said it all and much better than I can.

                  Terri Lynn,

I can't even imagine how many thousands of dollars or how many hours you spent on a therapists couch to spout off all that psycho babble... but first i do want to say I am sorry for the abuse you suffered.

I too am a child of abuse so I know how it is but people that were abused often turn into abusers themselves. that is an undisputed fact. Just take a look at the prison population and I can guarentee the majority of prisoners came from some sort of abusive background. So please don't try to portray all those abused are some sort of cuddly teddy bears or good hearted people. It is untrue.

Abuse is cyclical ( also an undisputed fact) if it wasn't abuse would have been iradicated long long ago.

So MJ was abused. My heart goes out to that child of abuse. However that child became a man. As a man he was able to make adult decisions, and he made some very bad ones. One being sharing his bed ( his own words) with children. Come on ! You can't give him credit for some of his actions ( singing, dancing, business) and not others ( child abuse).

MJ continued the cycle... and at this time my heart goes out to his children but mostly to the children he perpetrated. They are the victims. MJ lead his own life on his terms and this is how it ended up. The children he violated had no choices and they are the ones who we should be praying for.

By what I've read from some, they are willing to forgive the behavior of MJ due to his upbringing. If we implement that philosophy, we'll have to forgive every child molester; they can just blame it on their upbringing!

Get real, people. The man who chould sing and entertain, has been gone for years. And in his place was some white woman who couldn't sing and liked to have sex with minors!

No, not Jessie, Al, that's who's trying to profit. WhenI saw him, & Joe at the BET awards together I knew them two crooks were up t something, & Joe proved me right. When they asked him about his feeling about his son dying, he trying to promote his new record label. That's why Micheal diliberately left him out of the will. Now how are you going to actuall get on TV, & not pretend to care about losing a child. ONLY IN AMERICA BABY!!!

                            Ms Spirituality,

He may have given money, but there was a kid in the midwest dying with AIDS, was hoping to meet this whatever, he couldn't be bothered. So Elton John stepped up to the plate, he saw the kid, and, if I recall correctly, he did a benefit concert for him. (Elton John was another one he wanted to meet.)

As for helping others, Prince has given more of his songs he has written to struggling artists (and given qiute a few of them their chance to be in the spotlight) than Jackson ever did. And his father was also abusive.

It's easy to give money, but to give of yourself takes time, effort, and really caring. By the by, you can deduct money given to charities from your taxes.

Put this person in the ground and let us move on to more important issues, say like the economy?

I have a suggestion and I'm not trying to be snide... If anyone has money to buy flowers or some sort of memorial "gift", I genuinely recommend that they give the money to someone or some institution who really needs it, instead of someone who is already gone and won't see it.

You're not snide at all. You're very logical and so right! I have never understood this funeral home flower thing ... or, more recently, leaving flowers at the sight of an accident. I was even critical about all of the flowers left as "memorials" for Princess Diana, and I admired her humanitarian work.

Wouldn't the tens of thousands of dollars (or more) that people spend on flowers be of better use if donated to worthy causes that help people who are still ALIVE?

Dang, can't a day go by that you would not have something to say about President Obama. There are plenty of countries that would take you. Personally, I love my country and our new president. Move already!!!!!!!!

I have been reading various articles and I'm glad that there will not be a public viewing. I'm glad michael's mom is adament about a private viewing/funeral. I believe that is for family and friends. Allow them to have peace and pay their respects. I understand that Michael Jackson was an incon, a legend and the public wants to see him for the last time, but I think Katherine has made the right decision and I hope that people will honor him. I hope people honor him for what he has accomplished and the charity he gave. He was unique and I believe he left well before his time. I'm glad his children are being shielded from all this craziness. Allow them to remember their father for how they know him and not how other people are portraying him particularly when they don't know him. I pray for Michael as well as anyone else that has lost someone close to them. May God be with everyone at this time.

So, do you think your God shouldn't be with everyone at all times. Your God who has given us Malaria and Tuberculosis, and the Plague and HIV and Cancer and all the other human miseries that you stupid religious people can rationalize in so many ways.

When will you religionists ever wise up. Your God is not benevolent, kind, gracious or wise - on the contrary he kills young innocent people with leukemia and Hodgkins and cancer and and an endless variety of miseries and yet you morons rationalize that your God is good.

                                                I don't think so.

In my opinion, if the Jackson family really wanted "private," they wouldn't have engaged the Staples Center, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson (opportunists known to play the race card as often as possible), as well as having someone spout off "private tidbits" to the media every day.

Once MJ's remains are cleared for burial or cremation, the family should celebrate his life and accomplishments privately and respectfully. That's what Ed McMahon's and Farrah Fawcett's family did this week - meaningful tributes offered by family and friends. If the Jacksons were in true mourning, they should eschew constant media attention during this time and focus on the loss of their "loved one".

MJs' young children are NOT being shielded as well as they should be. If their family truly wished this to happen, they wouldn't be working as hard as they are to make sure that private tragedy turns into a daily media three-ring circus act.

The true tragedy is that three children, who have never had a normal life, will now be further at the mercy of this dysfunctional Jackson family.

Obviously, you twist words just because I said that doesn't mean I don't want God to be with people all the time. I said it because of all the losses this world has had this past month. God NEVER said life was going to be easy. You either don't believe in God or you have little faith in him. That's your choice. I'm not going to debate the matter.

What I meant was his viewing. His mom is trying to have everything private. My understanding from the article I read was that she was him buried prior to the memorial service at Staples.

Unfortunately, with or without the family's input it would have become a circus. Before the family even spoke to the public it was already getting out of hand.

If the entire Jackson family were not jumping at the chance to cash in on MJ's death, they would already have buried him quietly in a private ceremony without announcing the service in advance to the media. Although I enjoyed MJ when he was a cute little kid singing with the Jackson Five, I never liked him or respected him after he reached adulthood and began performing on his own. It doesn't take talent to grab one's crotch on stage, nor does it take genius to sing just like any other pop star who is currently in favor with the public. However, that said, I truly feel sorry for MJ in death for the way that his family and people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are trying to make another buck off of him. These people have no common decency or respect.

Leave it to the Jackson family to win the tacky prize. Michael Jackson is being revered as the Second Coming, and some of my posts on various threads have bordered on sarcasm or irreverence.

I have a problem offering praise to a has-been who poured out the Jesus Juice and then paid for his exoneration (I'm not excusing the parents who knowingly placed their children at risk).

I can only hope that if the citizens of California get slapped with the bill for this freak show circus, they will have the courage to unite in protest. And, if what I read was true ... if the freak show memorial circus becomes a national road trip ... I'll email you from the space station!

How much does it cost to rent the Staples Center? If LA doen't charge the Jackson estates then California deserves to sink in their sea of RED Ink. I'm not saying they have to turn a profit, but they sure as hell should break even. Don't forget the extra Police, Fire and Clean Up.

You might be right, or better yet MTV. I guess we will never understand why they are making so much fuss over this whole thing in the media, I for one think it has about run its course. By not either burying him or cremating his remains it does make one wonder, its been what eight days since he died.

I've never understood the way people act when something like this happens. Do I feel for his family & children? Yes. Am I going to make some pilgrimmage to Neverland or Staples Center? Uh...NO. People outwardly gathering and crying as if someone in their real family died is just weird. The guy sang and danced real good. That's cool. "Michael Jackson died? Wow, no kidding"? pretty much sums it up for me. Are these people really this empty??

Bodies don't last forever: the days of embalming with arcenic (as in the days of Lincoln) are past. Depends on his embalmer, he may have been shot (injected with chemical) too hard, (high formaldehyde concentration) causing his body to dehydrte or crack, which requires heavy waxing. Hope his balmer was a crackerjack!

MJ's skin was already very rigid and waxy in appearance prior to death (I'll not go into my opinions as to why). I'd imagine that after rigor mortis set in, it would be even less pliable. I certainly hope that his embalmer is not only a crackerjack, but a magician!

And Billy's death wasn't tremendously overcovered by the "news." An entertainers death does not deserve to be the #1 story on all news networks.

True, he was an entertainer, but his was popular Worldwide. His life was different. The plastic surgeries, skin change all made him freakish looking. Looking at pictures of him from when he was young and comparing them to his latest, looked like a different person. He had demons he was battling. The prescription drug addiction was extreme. If he did not have that problem, he would still be here.
