Joe Jackson seeks stipend from son's estate

An attorney for Joe Jackson filed papers in Los Angeles on Friday seeking a stipend, saying there was no apparent reason for the administrators of the estate to not seek an allowance for the 81-year-old family patriarch.

The judge should give Joe a stipend of anything to the RIGHT of the decimal point in the account every month. That's all he's worth.

Hey Joe - sscccrrrreeeeeech - that's the sound of the brakes to the gravy train you've been riding on for far too many decades. You require $2,500 to eat out on a monthly basis? Good grief, man, you need to learn how to cook.

I was never a fan of your son but the more I read about the Jackson family (excluding a very few members), the more I can understand why MJ was so terribly troubled and came to embrace a myriad of addictions and obsessions.

Seriously, Joe, have you no shame whatsoever?!

No reason, just show the judge video footage from many of MJ's video where he described how badly he was treated by his father.

Geez, so his legal argument is that because MJ didn't specifically say why he hated his father in his will, then he has a right to it. Poor legal counsel on MJ's part, his will should have left Joe with $1 so he was at least mentioned.

Hell to the NO!!!  Michael was VERY clear about how he felt regarding his father.  If he wanted his father to share in his success, he would have set the Will up differently.  It would be an insult to ANYONE that has a Will if Lawyers, Judges, Estate Executors, etc manipulate the Estate in anyway that would give that Creep Money!!!

Joe Jackson is a complete POS that shouldn't profit any more than he already has from his son's death. He has some serious issues if he thinks he is entitled to any of that money....unbelievable. If MJ wanted his father to receive any money, he would have stated so in his will....period....end of story.

Please note the sarcasm in my comment. Most of the Jacksons with the exception of Janet have always lived off Michael. Michael was their meal ticket when he was alive, why not let Michael be their meal ticket now that he's dead. God forbid they actually support themselves, that would just be wrong.

MJ should have left his father something in the will-1 penny. Play the awards where MJ's father was trying to talk about his new record label as he was walking on the red carpet. What did he say? "The world has lost a major icon"-He didn't say " I just lost my son". I think if Michael was giving him money, he would have made sure that his father was taken care of. There would be some sort of record that Michael was giving him money, and if he was any good at being a manager, he wouldn't have been fired. All he ever did was use them kids as a meal ticket and had affairs behind their mothers' back. MJ finally grew up and got rid of a jerk that never treated him well.

I agree with you! Not that I was ever a Michael Jackson fan, but his father is a real piece of work. Michael did not support him, according to the article, Katherine supported him with money that Michael gave her. That was Katherine's choice, not Michael's! I can't understand why she'd foot his bills for him. The man spends more than twice as much on hotels than he does on rent! Perhaps he should sleep at home, more, or give up the house. $2,500 to eat out? It'd probably be cheaper to hire a personal chef. $1,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacations and $2,000 on air travel PER MONTH? Why? Where would he go and who would want to see him, let alone receive anything from him? I hope he doesn't get a wooden nickel from Michael's estate. He wasn't a father, he was a sperm donor.

You'll note it said Joe was receiving money from Michael "through Katherine" which means that she was sneaking him money that Michael gave her, which fits their family dynamic---weak-willed, nice mom and overbearing abusive father. She'll still be sneaking him money from what she gets for her and the kids. The judge certainly should not ignore what Michael's wishes clearly were---give the old parasite nothing more.

Why would Michael give money to his father through Katherine? If he wanted him to have money he undoubtedly would've just had it given to him himself. And please explain why Michael's estate should be expected to maintain this pariah in a standard of living far beyond his means? Thousands of dollars to eat out and be entertained?? Michael's estate left money to his children, his mother and various charities...none was written to be left to his opportunistic and hated father. I'll never forget the image of this pig plugging his project at his son's memorial service. He deserves nothing but contempt.

Joe Jackson would take money from Michael's children and the valid charities Michael wanted to contribute to...this man in a loose definition of the term is a disgrace to himself and his children. It's unbelievable that he expects anyone to profit from his son's death or lessen the bequest to Michael's children in a greedy bid to scam money from their inheritance. Joe Jackson deserves only two checks per month...one a reality... and the other his social security. And it's debatable that he should continue to get the latter, since he mostly lived off his son's rather than any earnings paid into social security after they became famous. What a loser.

$1200 a month for rent? Get a cheaper place,

$2500 a month eathing out: Learn to cook. and eat at home the eating out isn't good for his diabetic condition.

$1000 on entertainment: By movies and watch them at home or just get Cable.

$2000 on travel: Learn to drive or just stay home. Like most people do.

$3000 on hotels. What are you paying the $1200 a month for if you are stying in a hotel every night.

Come on he and his entire family were living off of Michael learn to budget and live with in your means.

The children live in a very special situation that require security and other expenses and need that money for them. It is theres to do with as they see fit. Don't take away from them to keep your greedy little habits. afloat.
